Introducing Our Exclusive RESERVA and RESERVA BARRIQUE Red Wines
To celebrate the opening of our new seating area, we have decided to release some of our finest wines.
For only the second time in the history of B\V Winery, the moment has arrived to present our exceptional red wines, this time from the 2018 vintage. The benchmark set by the 2015 vintage was so high that we found it impossible to surpass, and the 2016 and 2017 vintages did not meet the same level of quality. As a result, no wines from those years were granted the RESERVA label. While some outstanding wines were produced, we ultimately decided that they did not reach the exceptional standard of the 2015 vintage, and therefore, we skipped two entire years.
Only through a rare combination of exceptional weather, patience, and careful risk-taking in the vineyard were we able to cultivate grapes with the perfect potential for great wines. Our approach to red wine production is uncompromising—grape yields are strictly reduced across all our wine lines to ensure the highest quality. After harvest, we conduct meticulous grape selection and processing, ensuring that only the best fruit is used to produce our wines.
Red wines in our RESERVA line undergo both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, followed by at least 24 months of aging in wooden barrels. The oak wood contributes refined tannins, which interact with pigments to enhance color, smooth out harshness, and create a silky texture.
Our red wines are aged in 225L and 600L oak barrels with various levels of toasting, followed by at least two years of bottle aging. The 2018 vintage, which we are introducing today, has been aged for 30 months in bottles and displays a distinct expression of barrel aging. However, our philosophy ensures that even with extensive barrel aging, the varietal character of the wine always shines through.
Now, we proudly present our long-awaited premium wines—wines that have received our utmost care and attention, belonging to our exclusive RESERVA and RESERVA BARRIQUE collections. The RESERVA BARRIQUE label is reserved only for wines aged exclusively in 225L barrels.
